MACON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A Fourth of July celebration continues for George Washington.

Well…not the founding father of the United States.

But a 51-year-old man from Macon named George Washington won $25,000 playing Red Hot Cherries on Thursday morning.

"It feels wonderful," said Washington.

The lucky ticket was sold at the Broadway Food Mart at 1610 Broadway.

Washington doesn't have immediate plans for his windfall.

All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Pre-K Program.
