GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Fireworks landing on the roof of a Gwinnett County business started a fire early Thursday morning.

Gwinnett County Fire crews were called to World Finance around 4:30 a.m. after a passerby reported seeing smoke.

When they arrived, firefighters found smoke and fire conditions in the center of the roof.

The roof over World Finance sustained moderated damage, and the interior had minor damage due to fire and water during firefighting efforts.

An adjoining business, Las Canas, had minor smoke damage and the front glass door was forced open by firefighters.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, and ignition was from illegal fireworks that landed on the roof that were shot from the parking lot adjacent to the business.

There were no injuries reported.
