Brush fire in Bartow County

BARTOW COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Officials are responding to a brush fire in Bartow County.

The blaze is off Stamp Creek Road and the Pile Log Wildlife Mgt area.

No homes or businesses are in danger or near the fire.

The smoke is moving across Cherokee County causing fire calls from residents.

Firefighters said the fire started by lightening strike a couple days ago.

One plane, 4 dozers, and 10 people are fighting the fire.

The fire is 50 percent contained and is a couple hundred acres.
