Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia was ejected in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against Toronto for arguing with plate umpire James Hoye.
Scioscia was left furious after Toronto's Brett Lawrie crashed into Angels catcher John Hester on a close play at the plate, with Lawrie appearing to lift his forearms just prior to the collision and striking Hester across the jaw.
Scioscia lifted his own arm repeatedly while arguing with Hoye before being ejected for the third time this season.
It was the second time Scioscia had left the dugout to argue with Hoye, the two also exchanged words in the fourth after Hoye appeared to change a strike call to a ball, granting Edwin Encarnacion a walk.
