DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Police responded to a homicide in the 1200 block of Mill Shyre Way in Lawrenceville.
At the home officers found a man at the front of the garage with a gunshot wound.
Officers made contact with the homeowner and determined that he was the shooter.
An argument had taken place prior to the shooting, during which the victim had attacked the shooter with a wooden dowell about the size of a baseball bat.
At this point in the investigation, this incident appears to be a self-defense shooting, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
