DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Pothole Harry had just about given up on getting the intersection fixed at Thornton Road and Factory Shoals Road in Douglas county.
The owners at Turners BBQ were convinced that nothing would ever be done to fix an intersection in such poor shape. Even truckers had a hard time getting through.
But Friday morning, the Georgia Department of Transportation surprised everyone. Six months after Pothole Harry's first story, crews began permanent repairs.
As a thank you, Turners BBQ provided lunch. Ribs and chicken for job well done!
