FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
With temperatures reaching into triple digits, cooling centers around Metro Atlanta have been opened to senior citizens who need relief from the extreme heat.
Four Senior Multipurpose facilities will be open in Fulton County from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to seniors living in the county.
"Any cooling problems that they have, if they don't have AC, if they don't have fans, just anything, if their house is just hot or if they just want to get out here to a really cool place, we are open for that," said Sonia Foster, manager of the Helene S. Mills Facility in southeast Atlanta.
Neighborhood senior facilities will also be available from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during dangerously high temperatures.
Any residents without air conditioning are urged to visit one of the facilities listed below:

The City of East Point Fire Department has established Cooling Stations in each of its three fire stations.

- Fire Station # 3: 3800 North Commerce Drive
- Fire Station # 4: 2222 Ben Hill Road
