ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The 24-year-old woman who had her hands, left leg and right foot amputated after contracting a flesh-eating bacteria left an Augusta hospital on Monday.
Aimee Copeland had been at Doctor's Hospital of Augusta for seven weeks battling necrotizing fasciitis after cutting her leg in a fall May 1 from a homemade zip line over a west Georgia river.
Andy Copeland said Aimee will be transferred to an in-patient rehabilitation center.
There, she will spend time learning how to move around without her hands and feet.
Last Monday, Aimee left her hospital room and went outside for the first time in 49 days.
