Cartersville police are investigating a shooting at a home on Maple Drive.

Police said Tony Collum, 44, went to the home around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to confront someone about selling drugs to his daughter.

At some point, Tony Collum, and Mark Harris, 53, got into a fight. During the fight, Collum was shot twice at close range with a .32 caliber handgun.

Police also said Harris allegedly made threats to Michael Collum who had accompanied Tony Collum to the home.

Harris was on scene when police arrived and was taken into custody.

Harris was charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

Marijuana and other drug related items were found during the execution of a search warrant at the home.

Police charged Parker Harris, 17, with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Collum was airlifted to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He was released from the hospital and is recovering at home.

Both Mark and Parker Harris turned themselves in to police late Wednesday afternoon and bonded out shortly thereafter.

The investigation is continuing.
