BRUNSWICK, GA (AP) -
Forecasters say that slow-moving Tropical Storm Debby could bring up to 10 inches of rain to parts of Georgia through Wednesday.
The Brunswick News reports that the storm downed trees in St. Marys on Monday, damaging a car and a gift shop in the city's downtown area. Glynn County Emergency Management Agency Director Jay Wiggins says there have been some sporadic power outages in the Brunswick area.
The Florida Times-Union reports that the St. Marys River was rising near the Georgia-Florida line and could threaten homes if the rain continues.
On Cumberland Island off the Georgia coast, all campers have been taken off the island until further notice because of the continued threat Debby poses to the region.
