Two dead in accident off Old Norcross Rd. in Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Old Norcross Rd. at Chris Lake Dr. in Gwinnett County was closed Monday due to a fatal two-car accident.

Police said a woman in a Volvo was driving eastbound on Old Norcross and crossed the center median striking a Hyundai head-on.

Both drivers, 55-year-old Mahvash Yazdanpanah and 54-year-old Larry Liles were killed by the impact, according to police.

The Lawrenceville Police Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to conduct an investigative reconstruction to possibly determine the cause of the accident.
