JACKSON, GA (CBS Atlanta) -
A tribute and benefit are planned for the family of PFC Brandon Goodine.
Goodine, 20, was killed by an IED in Afghanistan on June 7. He leaves behind a wife and young daughter. Goodine is from McDonough.
On June 30, two restaurants are participating in the benefit and tribute. JBs Grill on Truckstop Way in Jackson is participating from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Kickstands Bar and Grill at 4976 Highfalls Rd. in Jackson from 1-11 p.m.
Several bands have donated their time. Organizers said all proceeds go toward Goodine's family.
