Twitter is down, those who overshare about their lives are lost. They may have to talk to actual people or just go on Facebook.(RNN) - There are millions of people who like to share every minutia of their lives (including this writer) who feel lost at the moment – Twitter is down.
The website, Twitter.com, is down, as well as all the programs people use to access their Twitter accounts, such as Tweet Deck and HootSuite.
But you won't find the "Fail Whale;" it's like Twitter doesn't even exist. Try searching for Twitter in Google or Bing, and the internet can't find it.
The Twitter company blog (on Tumblr) issued this statement that would fit the 140 character requirement for a tweet:
Users may be experiencing issues accessing Twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue.
Don't be surprised if you pass many people under 40 shouting random and sometimes witty things to the heavens about what they had for lunch or the idiotic thing their boss said.
How will foodies share photos of their lunch?! Well, good news there, TwitPic is still working, so foodies can look at what they ate yesterday while millions of Twitter users are trying to remember their Facebook password and inspect Google+ as a stopgap measure.
