Clayton County issues Mattie's Call for missing veteran

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man missing from his Jonesboro home.

Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said Mitchell Alan McHugh was last seen leaving his home on Howard Circle at around noon Tuesday.

McHugh, 51, is described as 5'11", 140 lbs. , with long gray hair, a long gray beard, and hazel eyes. He is believed to be driving his silver 2012 Honda Pilot with Georgia tag CAH 9986, Fraser said.

Police said McHugh suffers from schizophrenia, paranoid delusion, and persistent auditory hallucinations due to a brain injury suffered while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
