BUFORD, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Wednesday morning, Georgia Department of Natural Resources released the names of the victims involved in Monday night's deadly boat crash on Lake Lanier.
Griffin Prince, 13, who is now presumed dead, was thrown overboard after investigators said a drunk boater slammed into the vessel he was aboard.
Griffin's 9-year-old brother, Jake Prince, was killed at the scene of the crash. Both brothers were from Buford.
Jake would have entered the 4th grade this fall at White Oak Elementary School. Griffin would have entered the 8th grade at Lanier Middle School.
The boys were on a pontoon, driven by the boys' father, Michael Prince. The pontoon was carrying a total of 13 people, including the boys' mother. Michael owns the Grass Shack, a boat shop in Buford.
The DNR said a fishing boat collided with the pontoon. The driver of the fishing boat fled the scene.
Paul J. Bennett, 44, of Cumming, was arrested several hours later at a nearby marina and charged with boating under the influence
Wednesday morning, dive teams resumed searching for Griffin's remains.
The search Tuesday spanned a 100-mile area as divers and side-scan sonar technology were used to scour the murky lake water for the boy's body.
"With this big of a search area, it's virtually impossible to dive on everything. They are only going to go down where they have a good idea where something is at they going to look at," Ranger First Class Mitchell Crumb said.
A memorial fund for Jake and Griffin Prince has been set up through Wells Fargo. Donations can be made to account #7581668121 in the name of Griffin and Jake Prince.
A memorial page has also been set up on Facebook for the boys.
