LITHONIA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
DeKalb County fire officials said two people were killed in a fire that broke out Tuesday evening.
Neighbors said the victims were father and son.
The fire broke out on Wellborn Hills Place in Lithonia. Neighbor Jordan Bradley said he remembers the moments before the fire broke out.
"I didn't see any smoke, first I just saw a car," Bradley said. "Looked away, heard a pop, looked away and there were flames, instant flames."
Friend of the family Victoria Sterling-Jackson said the victims leave behind a grieving wife and mother.
"She's very distraught, she's pregnant," Sterling-Jackson said. "She don't have any family here so we're going to offer all the support that we can."
DeKalb County fire officials are investigating what caused the fire, and where it started.
