FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The woman suspected of causing a crash that killed two people and severely injured another didn't show up for court on Tuesday.

Fulton County police said Tamara Matthews crossed the center line and slammed into a white minivan driven by Glen Walker on Nov. 5 on Flat Shoals Road and Harper Valley Drive.

Inside the van were Glen, his wife Sandra and their two children.

Glen Walker later died from his injuries.

Sandra Walker, a kindergarten teacher in Gwinnett County, suffered a traumatic brain injury. She learned to walk again through physical therapy. She has since run a 5K.

The children were not injured.

Matthews' 16-year-old son, Joshua Jenkins, died at the scene.

Matthews was charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle in the 2nd degree and failure to maintain lane.

The case is now bound for state court.
