Georgia 400 south
FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Morning commuters will soon have an additional lane to use along Georgia 400 southbound.
Georgia DOT crews hit a snag Monday night as they restriped a section of the road along the far right 'merge' lane between Mansell Road and Holcomb Bridge Road.
It's taking extra time to get the old striping removed.
Once complete, it will give drivers a bit more room in the morning.
The entire project will give southbound drivers from Macfarland to Holcomb Bridge four straight through lanes instead of three. Currently, the far right lane is exit only.
