Steve White/CBS Atlanta- A man was fatally shot late Monday at the intersection of Astor Ave and Sylvan Rd.ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Detectives are investigating a shooting death on a southwest Atlanta street late Monday.
Atlanta Police Captain Adam Lee III said the man was shot outside a home in the 1900 block of Sylvan Road just before midnight Tuesday.
Police said he collapsed while trying to get to a hospital.
An ambulance picked him up on Astor Avenue, but he died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Lee said the case has been turned over to the homicide unit.
No information on the victim or any potential suspects has been released.
