SMYRNA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Smyrna residents are frustrated by a local daycare's plan to expand to a third building.
Residents told CBS Atlanta if the Oxford Academy is allowed by the city council to expand, property values will drop.
"This plan for 805 is going to reduce our appraised value by $40,000 instantly," Chaney Wood resident Don Berry said.
The daycare's owner was not available for comment today, but a city council member told CBS Atlanta the plan isn't a done deal.
Before it can be finalized, it must first be approved by the Smyrna's planning and zoning committee, then voted up or down by the full city council.
