Adidas under fire for 'shackle sneaker'

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

There's a new Adidas sneaker causing a bit of a ruckus on social media sites.

People are talking about the Adidas's Jeremy Scott x Adidas Roundhouse Mid "Handcuffs" shoe.

Posted by Adidas Originals on its Facebook page, the sneakers are an updated version of Adidas' classic Roundhouse, a high-top lace-up with a Velcro strap across the middle.

The shoe has an added a plastic handcuff to each ankle attached by chains.

Adidas Originals is promoting the $350 shoes.

They won't hit stores until Aug. 12.
