MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Marietta police made an arrest in a rape that allegedly happened Thursday at the Cinnamon Ridge Apartments.
The suspect was identified by police as a 16-year-old boy, who is being charged as an adult. Police did not release his name.
Police said the teen broke into the victim's apartment and physically attacked her while she was in her bed.
The teen used an unknown instrument to threaten the victim, police said.
The victim, according to police, saw her attacker on Franklin Road and called 911.
The victim's identification of the suspect, as well as evidence collected at the scene, was used to positively identify the suspect.
The suspect is being held without bond at the Cobb Youth Detention Center.
