HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA GA) -
Henry County police are investigating a shooting that happened in McDonough on Wednesday.
It took place at the pool parking lot of the Clark Meadows subdivision just before 4:30 p.m.
A 21-year-old male had been shot once while sitting in his vehicle by Kristin D. Jones, 21, according to police.
After the shooting, Jones fled the scene in a blue Infinity, according to reports.
The victim was taken to Atlanta Medical Center by helicopter.
Clayton County police found Jones and the vehicle overnight near the intersection of Highway 54 and Highway 138 in Clayton County.
Police believe the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone awry.
Jones is charged with aggravated assault.
