DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The pilot flying a DeKalb County police helicopter had to make an emergency landing Tuesday morning after smelling smoke in the cockpit.
The chopper was headed back to a heliport when the pilot made the emergency landing off George Luther Drive near Dunaire Park, according to police.
No one was injured in the landing.
DeKalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said the smoke odor could have come from an air conditioner, but no smoke was ever visible in the cockpit.
