DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A family is looking for a place to stay Friday after food left unattended on a stove caused a fire that spread to the rest of their home.

DeKalb County Battalion Chief Martin Greene said fire crews responded to the Conley area home just after midnight Friday and found about a third of the home on Rolling Place ablaze.

Fire crews fought to stop the fire from leveling the home, saving about half of the split level house.

Two people were at home at the time of the fire, but there were no reported injuries.
