DUNWOODY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Please do not attempt to use the Ashford Dunwoody bridge across I-285 over the weekend.
Starting Friday night at 9 p.m., the bridge will be closed for a $4.6 million restriping project called the Diverging Diamond.
The new configuration will improve traffic flow at a fraction of what it would have cost to replace and widen the bridge.
Note to pedestrians: You will not be able to use the bridge for one month.
Make plans or be ready for a very long detour.
