Line at Carter's job fairBRASELTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Carter's Inc. is hiring 250 people at a job fair in Braselton.
The job fair started at 8 a.m. Wednesday, but applicants started lining up at 3:30 a.m.
Over 1,000 people showed up on Wednesday, hoping to get a job.
Carter's is the largest branded marketer of baby and young children's apparel in the U.S.
Carter's plans to open its new national distribution center in Braselton in June.
The 1 million-square-foot facility will support the company's e-commerce, retail and wholesale businesses.
The company expects to invest more than $50 million in the new facility and create more than 600 new full-time jobs in Georgia by 2015.
Available positions include warehouse material handlers, warehouse operations, equipment operators, inventory control, human resources and additional support roles.
The job fair runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
The job fair is being held at Carter's Distribution Center at 625 Braselton Pkwy.
