Rebekka Schramm/CBS Atlanta- Two armed men forced their way into this Clayton County apartment.
CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Clayton County police are searching for two armed men who terrorized some college roommates in their Clayton County apartment early Thursday morning, sexually assaulting one woman before fleeing the scene.
"Somebody had to be watching us," said Eve Fields, one of the victims of the home invasion.
"We got a knock on the door," said another victim Tashika McKnight, a student at Clayton State University. "We thought it was one of my friends, because one of my friends was supposed to be coming back later. We opened the door, and they came in. Two guys with two guns started pointing the gun at us telling us to get down. That's when they started robbing us."
They took the victims' cell phones and all of their cash. Clayton County police Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said that before the armed robbers left, they forced one of the female victims to perform a sex act.
One of the robbery victims, Fields, said that after the men fled on foot, they couldn't immediately call 911.
"We had to go find a house phone. They took all the cell phones. We couldn't call (anybody)," said Fields.
"I feel real sick, sick to my stomach," said robbery victim Shanesha Johnson.
"I still can't believe it's real," said McKnight. "It still seems like a dream to me because it just happened in the middle of nowhere. You never think anything like this would happen to you."
Witnesses described the suspects as young black men with medium builds. Both had their faces covered, but the victims said one man had light skin and wore his hair in dreadlocks.
CBS Atlanta News is not identifying the victim of the alleged sexual assault.
