KENNESAW, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Cobb County police are investigating an assault on a CCT bus in Kennesaw on Monday.

Police said Taniesha Nicole Twyne borrowed another passenger's cell phone and refused to return it to him.

The two began to argue and the bus driver, 39-year-old Damian Haney, confronted them to calm them down, police said.

Twyne pulled out a knife, a struggle ensued and the knife was dropped onto the floor, police said.

Twyne then grabbed a pen from Haney's shirt pocket, police said, and stabbed him repeatedly in the face.

Haney was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he was treated for his injuries then released.

Twyne was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and treated for minor injuries, then to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

She is charged with aggravated assault and theft by conversion.
