Atlanta City Council proclaims 'Moving in the Spirit Day'

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Atlanta City Council issued a proclamation to 'Moving in the Spirit' on February 20, in honor of their 25 years of outstanding service to the Atlanta community.

The proclamation was presented at the city council meeting at 1 p.m.

"For 25 years, Moving in the Spirit has served Atlanta's urban neighborhoods – providing community awareness of the importance of the arts in young lives," said Councilmember Smith.

Life-sized photographs of Moving in the Spirit's young people will be displayed in the City Hall Atrium, in celebration of the proclamation.

Created by renowned Atlanta photographer JD Scott as part of his "Believe in Me: Dancing from the Inside Out" exhibit.

The meeting was open to the public and located at 55 Trinity Ave Atlanta, GA 30303.

A reception kicked off the festivities at 12:30 p.m.
