8-year-old ejected, killed in Gainesville accident

GAINESVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A 8-year-old girl was killed Monday after being ejected from a car in Gainesville.

Queen City Parkway at Martin Luther king Junior Drive was shut down due to the accident just before 1:00 p.m. The road re-opened around 3:00 p.m.

Kevin Holbrook with Gainesville police said an adult was also ejected from the car.

CBS Atlanta has learned the girl died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

No information was given on the condition of the adult driving the car.
