Police investigate Snellville apartment complex shooting

SNELLVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police in Gwinnett County are trying to figure out how a man was shot at an apartment complex Saturday afternoon.

According to a spokesman with the Gwinnett County Police Department, a man showed up at the BP gas station on Highway 78 at Hewatt Road around 4 p.m. with a gunshot wound.

Police learned that the shooting had allegedly happened at the Orion at Killian Creek apartment complex on Country Walk southwest, not far from the gas station.

Police searched the complex, but weren't able to find a suspect or a crime scene.

According to the police spokesman, the victim was giving investigators conflicting information.

The victim's injuries weren't life-threatening.
