Day 2 of jury selection in Dunwoody day care murder

Posted: Updated:
DECATUR, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Jury selection in the murder trial of the man who admitted killing a father of two outside a Dunwoody day care center entered its second day on Tuesday.

The defense and prosecution have focused on what potential jurors know about the high-profile case and whether they could consider insanity as a defense.

Hemy Neuman has admitted he gunned down Rusty Sneiderman after Sneiderman dropped his son off at day care in November of 2010. Neuman has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

An engineer from Cobb County, Neuman worked with Sneiderman's wife, Andrea, and investigators have suggested the two were having an affair.

Both Rusty and Andrea Sneiderman's families have sat through jury selection, as have the parents of Hemy Neuman. The families have had no interaction.

The court will seek 48 potential jurors, then select the final 12-person jury from that pool.

Opening statements are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
