Funeral to be held for Cobb County family killed in crash

COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The memorial for a Brazilian family killed in a fiery Florida crash will take place Monday.

On Jan. 28, Jose, Adriana, Edson, Leticia and Lidiane Carmo and Edson's girlfriend Rose were coming back from church conference in Orlando when heavy smoke from a brush fire caused a multi-car pile-up.

Lidiane Carmo was the only survivor from the family.

Ten people altogether died in the crash that shut down the interstate near Gainesville in both directions.

The Carmo family funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Marietta on Whitlock Ave. The viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Service will start at 4:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, the five bodies will be taken to Brazil to be buried on Wednesday.
