Child, grandmother struck by car

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A grandmother and her 4-year-old grandson were both hit by a car in front of their home Sunday evening at West Austin Road and Turner Heights Drive.

DeKalb County Police say the 4-year-old had gotten away from his grandmother when a woman hit them with her car.

Sgt. S.K. Williams with DeKalb County Police said the 27-year-old driver who hit them didn't see them because it was dark and the street has few lights.

Williams said DeKalb County Police will not press charges against the driver, who lives just down the street.
