Atlanta police make arrest in beating of gay man

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police have arrested one suspect in the videotaped beating of Brandon White last week in Southwest Atlanta.

Christoper Cain, 18, was arrested early Saturday morning. Police said tips from the Crime Stoppers hotline aided in his apprehension.

The video shows three men beating Brandon White as he came out of a McDaniel Street grocery store in southwest Atlanta, with a barrage of punches, kicks and even beat him with a tire.

Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos says police expect to make more arrests soon.
