HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Henry County firefighters were expected to remain on the scene of a two-alarm storage unit facility fire throughout Friday.

The flames broke out around 10 p.m. Thursday at Hudson Self-Storage in the 1400 block of Hudson Bridge Road in Stockbridge.

Around the time the fire started, one man arrived at Henry Medical Center with burns. He was later transported to the burn unit at Grady. Bill Lacy, Henry County Fire Chief, would not speculate if the man played a role in the fire. However, he said "all possible causes of the fire would be investigated".

Lacy said 200 units were destroyed, if not by flames, by smoke and water.

Renters slowly started arriving Friday morning to survey the damage. Several broke down in tears.

"This is kind of a sickening feeling to think you wake up one morning, and everything you have is gone," sobbed Linda James.

James and her husband had all of their possessions stored since they are in the process of moving. They did not have insurance.

"At our age, it's kind of hard to replenish all those years of memories, furniture," James said.

Phillip Leininger was also in the process of moving and had most of his possessions stored as well. He said he lost everything too but thankfully has insurance.

"We had all of our personal belongings, new washer and dryer we bought, bedroom furniture," he said.

The office and residence of the property manager were also damaged by fire. Two adults and two children were displaced as a result.
