ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Atlanta police could serve arrest warrants as early as Friday on two of the three suspects in a brutal beating captured on-camera.
Three self-professed members of the "Jack City Gang" were videotaped Saturday beating and yelling gay slurs at Brandon White, 20, as he exited a convenience store in the Pittsburgh community.
Thursday night, Atlanta Police Chief George Turner announced his officers had identified two of the attackers and would serve arrest warrants "in the next couple of days."
The Fulton County District Attorney's office said it is also working to close down the store at the corner of McDaniel and Delevan streets where White was beaten.
Atlanta police said the store has a long history of police calls, nearly 400 last year alone.
Nearly 100 neighbors met at the Iconium Baptist Church Thursday night. They blamed the store for attracting violence.
"Clean out the store; give them something to stand for because what they're standing for is nothing now," said neighbor Katrina Green.
"Children are in fear to walk to school because they fear someone's going to snatch out of these houses," said Pamela Flannigan.
Police still need to identify the third suspect. An $11,000 reward is being offered for information leading to arrests.
