Man arrested after stalking ex-girlfriend in Atlanta parking deck

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A man was arrested after assaulting two people in a parking deck shared by the Fulton County Health Clinic and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Police arrested 25-year-old Aljermiah Mekeithan after he confronted his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend in the parking lot.

Mekeithan punched the man in the face. The woman got in the middle of the fight and tried to break it up, police said.

During the fight, both of the victims dropped their cell phones.

Mekeithan picked up the phones and ran to his vehicle which was parked in a nearby deck, police said.

Officers were able to stop Mekeithan as he was exiting the parking deck.

Police said the woman had a protection order against Mekeithan.

Mekeithan was charged with robbery and aggravated stalking.
