Judge orders man to buy flowers, dinner for wife

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (CNN) -

A South Florida judge ordered a man to take his wife to Red Lobster, then go for a night of bowling.

Joseph Bray was charged with domestic violence.

It started when he didn't wish his wife a happy birthday and things escalated from there.

But the judge considered the spat minor.

In lieu of bond, he ordered Bray to treat his wife to a night out, including flowers, dinner and bowling.

He also ordered them to get counseling.
