APD hiring new officers during career fair

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

On Monday, the Atlanta Police Department held a career fair at its Public Safety Headquarters in downtown Atlanta.

APD is looking for dedicated, community-minded individuals to join our ranks of sworn officers, and become part of our force for positive change in Atlanta.

APD said in the past two years they have hired almost 500 new officers.

Interviews and testing began promptly at 8:00 a.m. and attendees were expected to be there for at least six hours.
