CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police say a Texas couple was killed and their 2-month-old was seriously injured in a crash on Knox Bridge Highway in Febuary.

Rick Dean Headen, 48, and Charlotte Ann Sedtal, 40, were pronounced dead on the scene of the crash around 11 a.m.

Investigators say beer cans were found at the crash scene and that Headen had a blood alcohol level of .218. That is slightly less than three times the legal limit in Georgia.

Police say Headen was driving and crossed the center line hitting a pickup truck head-on.

No one in the truck was injured. Their 2-year-old child was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital.

The child should make a full recovery from injuries he suffered in the accident, according to police.
