ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Georgia State Patrol announced $2.8 million in narcotics were seized during a traffic stop in Alpharetta.
On Jan. 26, troopers pulled over Ignacio Abarca Pineda, 27, who police said is an illegal immigrant.
Troopers said Pineda acted very nervous and showed a Mexican driver's license as identification.
Inside Pineda's car, officers reported finding a large duffel bag containing kilos of illegal narcotics.
A check of the trunk revealed very large trash bags containing numerous kilos of narcotics and $130,000 in cash.
Officers tested the substances on scene and confirmed Pineda was traveling with cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police confiscated the 87 kilos of cocaine, 1 kilo of methamphetamine and bag of $130,000.
Investigators said the total value of the seized narcotics and currency is estimated at $2.8 million.
Pineda was charged with not having a valid license, immigration, trafficking cocaine, trafficking meth, and brake light and turn sign.
