Georgia traditionally is one of the richest states in the country for high school football talent.
Georgia State signed 16 players to scholarships Wednesday as coach Bill Curry sought to bolster the offensive and defensive lines.
The Panthers, who went 3-8 last year, must replace four starters on the offensive line and two on the defensive line.
In 2012, Georgia State will play its first season of football in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Panthers are 9-12 in two seasons under Curry.
Georgia Tech went about fulfilling Coach Johnson's needs on both sides of the ball, signing 17 prospects today.
On the high school front, Duluth High School had nine kids sign letters to play college football, as well as the Blaylock brothers Darren and Zack, from Walton High School, who both signed to play with Kentucky.
