GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Gwinnett County police said a tipster tuned in a woman who robbed the SunTrust Bank on Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth.
Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said 58-year-old Johnette Pinkerton of Lawrenceville entered the bank and presented a threatening note to a teller which demanded money.
Pinkerton was given about $3,000 in cash and walked out of the bank, police said.
She was seen leaving in a light colored passenger car.
After viewing news coverage of the robbery, police said a tipster identified the woman to police.
Detectives were able to compare ID photos of Pinkerton to the security footage and found they were a match.
Pinkerton was arrested at her home on Country Court without incident.
She remains in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
