Arrest made in Gwinnett County murder

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Gwinnett County police arrested a man in connection with a shooting early Tuesday morning on Pucketts Drive.

Jamell Richmond, 40, of Lilburn was arrested after officers found a man and woman with gunshot wounds after someone called about shots being fired.

Demarcus Collins, 29, and Monica Tamez, 32, were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in critical condition.

Collins later died at the hospital. Tamez is expected to survive her injuries.

Richmond was charged with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

It is unclear what caused the shooting.
