Police identify body found near apartment complex

JONESBORO, GA (CBS ATLANTA/AP) -

Police have identified a woman's body found near a Jonesboro apartment complex Wednesday.

Police confirm 30-year-old Rochelle Thomas' body was found.

Jonesboro Chief of Police Franklin Allen said the body was found covered by a "large bed-type covering," in a wooded area by residents at the Harmony Crossroads Apartments off Tara Boulevard shortly after 7 p.m.

It is unclear how Thomas died.
