Guy Rawlings joined CBS Atlanta as an evening anchor and sports host in January 2012. He anchors the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts with Stephany Fisher.
Rawlings joined CBS Atlanta from WESH-TV in Orlando. He brings along 19 years of experience in the broadcast industry, a journey that has included stops at network stations in Miami, Charleston, and Baltimore.
Rawlings was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Florida, where he studied telecommunications. He was a sports anchor in Charleston and then spent 10 years in Miami as a sports anchor and reporter. He spent the past five years at WESH-TV in Orlando, where he covered two BCS National Championships, a handful of World Series games, and countless Orlando Magic games.
Rawlings has made a career out of being the go-to guy for major news and sporting events. He's covered the Olympics, several Super Bowls, Peach Bowls and the NCAA tournament at the Georgia Dome. He's also reported on hurricanes and once landed an exclusive sit down interview with President Bill Clinton.
Rawlings is an Emmy award winner and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When he's not working, Rawlings enjoys watching and attending sporting events and trying new restaurants.
