FAYETTEVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Fayetteville officers are working to track down two men they say are responsible for two recent car thefts in Fayetteville.

The first incident happened on Jan. 12, 2012, detectives say the suspects went to the Walmart store in the Fayette Pavilion in a dark Ford Explorer.

The suspects backed the vehicle in a parking space and one of them went inside Walmart. The man who entered the store was captured on surveillance video.

After returning to the parking lot, the man then stole a 1992 GMC Sierra truck that was parked in the parking lot; both men then left the area, according to reports.

On Friday Jan. 13, 2012, police believe the same men returned to the Walmart and stole a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice that was parked in the parking lot.

Anyone with information regarding these two incidents is encouraged to contact Det. Todd Chitwood at (770) 719-4224.
