ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A teenager was shot and killed Friday night in SE Atlanta. Police have arrested her boyfriend, and charged him with murder.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identifies the victim as Rachel Walker, 17, of Atlanta. Her boyfriend, Edward Johnson, 18, remains in Fulton County Jail for her death.
Atlanta police say the shooting happened near Rhinehill Road in a wooded area. Authorities responded to a call from a home in the 2000 block of Rhinehill Road around 9:15 p.m. Friday. That is where they found Walker who had a gunshot shot wound to her side.
She was taken to Grady Hospital where she later died.
